Radio Festival, the annual spotlight on all things audio, will take place on May 23rd this year, once again returning to the British Library with a string of high-profile speakers.
The festival, previously held in September, is moving its date after consulting with industry stakeholders, including Radiocentre and Next Radio, in an effort to bring more coordination to the radio industry calendar.
The Festival will bring together leading figures and experts from across the media and U.K audio industry, with a festival steering group and further details to be announced over the coming weeks.
The Radio Academy Managing Director Roger Cutsforth said: “With so many great events staged each year by the radio and audio sector, it makes sense to co- ordinate our events calendar to create a more balanced timetable offering more choice, flexibility and less impact on the wallet for our Members in the Autumn. We’re putting together a dynamic cross sector team to deliver Festival this year and following on from the huge successes of the previous two years we’re really excited that this year’s festival will raise the bar once again. One of the many great insights from our Members survey was how valuable and revered Radio Festival is for its content, knowledge and networking and we’ll be putting together a program that will provide all of these by the bucket load.”
